Welcome

After reading someone's goal of a photo a day, seeing some friends photo pages, and someone's photo blog, I wanted to create a collection of my own work. I love taking photos when I travel, on day trips, and of friends and family. I recently (July/07) found out I have taken over 9,200 which currently live on my computer. I want to keep collecting images that I find inspiring and share them with others.

Picture a Day - April 30, 2010

I haven't put up any pictures in a very long time, which is surprising considering that I got a new DLSR at Christmas and have taken about 3000 pictures since then.

I remembered recently that I had at one point wanted to take a photo a day and post them on here. So perhaps today is the day to start.

I'm going to actually start with a trip to the zoo with my sister and nephew last week. My absolute favourite picture from the day is this one:


My sister was holding him up slightly and I snuck in underneath to take this picture. I just love the look on his face.

I also really like this picture of the polar bear. For some reason polar bears always remind me of my brother. I think he may have been one in a former life. The way he lounges around, moves and especially swims. It was funny when my sister said "polar bears remind me of our brother", me - "I thought only I though that."
